This museum-grade paper gives muted blacks with even colour reproduction, and excellent detail. The surface has minimal texture with a chalky smooth cotton feel which creates smooth colour gradients.

Frame Details

The frame is made in Germany from FSC®-certified wood. The wood comes from sustainably managed forests that meet the criteria of the Forest Stewardship Council. The frame is equipped with edge-ground float glass, an acid-free insert, and a sturdy rear panel. The rear panels are equipped with hangers.

We were walking back through London in the late afternoon when the light started doing something worth stopping for. It was catching the buildings at a low angle, turning ordinary stone into something warmer. I had the camera ready when this gentleman crossed the street and stepped directly into the brightest part of the frame.

The image is almost entirely about timing. The light was there for a short window, the subject was there for a single stride, and the two coincided. London's streets in that hour have a particular quality — the day's grime softened, the architecture lit from below, the city briefly more generous than it usually is.

Richard Lam

Richard Lam is a Vancouver-based photographer and filmmaker whose work captures the quiet beauty of fleeting moments. With over a decade behind the camera, his photography is rooted in a deep sense of curiosity, presence, and human connection.

What began as a personal practice—documenting everyday moments to hold onto how they felt—quickly evolved into a creative calling. Richard eventually left a corporate career to pursue storytelling full-time, combining his marketing background with a thoughtful, visual approach to narrative.

His prints are the result of years spent traveling, observing, and refining his craft. Each image is a reflection of Richard’s belief that photography has the power to slow us down, help us see more clearly, and connect us to something greater than ourselves.
