Giclée is a type of inkjet printing, in which ink is sprayed directly onto a paper in a series of dots known as a half-tone pattern. 

The major advantage for giclée printing is the ability to reproduce highly saturated and vivid colours, something traditional printing methods can’t achieve. This is due to the bright pigments used to make up the ink.

Giclée prints last up to 40 years in daylight and up to 200 years in the dark. 

Each of our colour-perfect giclée prints are created using the latest technology on Hahnemühle Photo Rag®, one of the highest quality art papers in the world. The super matte finish makes this paper one of the most popular papers among fine art photographers. With a weight of 308 gsm, this smooth surface paper gives muted blacks with even colour reproduction, and excellent detail. The surface has minimal texture with a chalky smooth cotton feel which creates smooth colour gradients.

All printing and shipping is handled by our trusted partners at The Print Space. Depending on your location, prints will either be shipped from their UK or Germany studios.

All of the prints in this shop are available in a limited edition quantity in each size. Once the prints sell out in each size and edition, they will never be available again!

Each print comes with a unique certificate of authenticity. 

It provides the name of the image, the edition number, production date, certificate number, artist signature, and a hologram authentication patch that is matched by a unique number on both the print and certificate.

Prints are shipped in either a reinforced tube or crumble-proof packaging to ensure safe delivery.

This is made possible by the incredible efforts of our print studio partner, The Print Space, who offsets all carbon emissions. This includes deliveries, cloud storage, energy consumption, and even employee travel.

As a general rule, hang single artwork at eye level (60 inches from the floor to the centre of the artwork). If you're hanging your art above furniture, it can be 4-6 inches above the piece. If the art is going above a sofa or console, the piece should be approximately ⅔ width of the furniture.

Paper is sensitive to its surroundings and can be affected by changes in temperature, damp, humidity, and exposure to light. As a general rule with all artwork, avoid direct sunlight, high humidity, and damp walls for best longevity.

Yes, you can checkout directly using Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, and Diners Club debit and credit cards. Alternatively, you can also checkout using PayPal. Both options use a secure 256-bit encryption service and are 100% safe and secure.

We are truly confident that you’ll love your print(s). They’ll uphold the test of time and become a talking point in your household. However, in the event that you'd like to return or exchange your print for a different one of equal value, you have 15 days from the date of delivery to contact us to arrange the exchange. You'll just need to cover the shipping charges.

The print tubes and packaging are extremely tough and capable of surviving the roughest of shipping journeys. However, in the rare event that your print arrives damaged, we will gladly replace it for you free of charge.

Just send an email with an image of the package, print, certificate of authenticity, as well as the order number to hello@richardalam.com and we will arrange the replacement for you. In the case of damaged orders, we'll cover the return shipping and the subsequent replacement print.
